About Me

Born and raised in South Kingstown, I’m very pleased that my Massage Office is located in my hometown village of Peace Dale. As an added benefit, living so near the ocean where I can walk every day and kayak every week helps me stay happy and healthy all year long.

I am a graduate of CCRI’s Therapeutic Massage Program where my studies included Anatomy & Physiology, Kinesiology, and Pathophysiology, and where I trained in Swedish Massage, DeepTissue Massage, Sports Massage, and Shiatsu (Acupressure).

I hold a Massage Therapy License (#02100) from the Rhode Island Department of Health and I am certified in CPR/AED and First Aid. My most recent trainings have been in Advanced Neck Treatments, Dimensional  Massage Therapy for Tension Headaches, Myofascial Back Therapy, Burn/Scar Therapy, and Advanced Chair Massage.

CaroleAs a member of the RI AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association), I am both a member of their Education Committee and a volunteer with their Rhode Island Crisis Massage Team. As a member of the Crisis Team, I  had the honor of giving chair massage at the World Burn Congress 2013 in Providence where I met some incredible people. I’ve also had the opportunity to use my skills to give stress relief massage to first responders in crisis situations. Supporting Save the Bay, Tour de Cure, and The Special Olympics, amongst other sports events, by giving volunteer post event table massage for the athletes, has also been a great experience.

Before I became a Massage Therapist, I worked in several educational settings with diverse populations of youth and adults. I enjoyed helping clients through difficult times, finding the  place where they could use their strengths to overcome life’s obstacles. Seeing how Massage Therapy  truly has the power to promote healing, I now enjoy using my skills to help  clients relieve the stress and pain that were obstacles in the way they hoped to live their daily lives. I love doing this work. It’s great to see a client leave my office feeling taller, healthier, and more relaxed.
